Since 1977, The 680 Group has kept their clients’ best interests at heart. This community centered team was started by Montague “Cosmo” Boyd and is supported by Jana Burke, Sheila Whitten, and Emily Boyd.
Cosmo has been a lifelong entrepreneur, beginning back in high school where he started his own business selling electronics. His grandmother gifted him shares of stock which he used as collateral to eventually pay his way through college. This introduction to the stock market helped him find his future calling. Cosmo became licensed nearly four decades ago and became one of the first recipients of the CFP designation. In his early career, Cosmo focused on group retirement planning building financial strategies for 401(k) participants. Starting in 2006, he chose to focus solely on individuals, creating customized plans to service each clients’ unique needs and goals. In 2021, Cosmo moved into the independent space to access to better technology, communication, and service offerings.
The 680 Group stands by the golden rule of treating others the way they’d like to be treated. The team strives to treat their clients like family and address their financial needs today so they can enjoy tomorrow. Their financial planning process isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and they look forward to meeting clients where they are in their financial journey.
